Are you ready to obtain your CAVS certification but need support in how and what to study in preparation? Join The Beryl Institute’s Learning and Professional Development faculty for an interactive prep workshop reviewing the eight domains on which the CAVS examination is based. The course provides an in-depth review of policies, processes and procedures to ensure the development of a volunteer program that meets the standards of accrediting agencies. Participants will explore test-taking strategies and hear from a panel of CAVS-certified individuals who will share their experience and offer advice.
Facilitated by Eileen McConville, MBA, CAVS, this workshop includes three two-hour virtual sessions held over three consecutive weeks. Each session is followed by a 30-minute optional Q&A period.
During the course, participants will:
- Review content most related to the CAVS Classification System
- Test comprehension of key concepts
- Explore strategies to prepare for the CAVS Examination
Course Materials: An electronic version of the book Time, Talent & Treasures - A resource for healthcare volunteer management is included with your registration. It will also serve as a resource throughout your career in volunteer management. An optional hard copy of the book is available for an additional fee here.
While the CAVS Prep Course provides a comprehensive review of information about volunteer management, completion of the CAVS Prep Course is not required to take the CAVS exam nor does completion of the course (as with any preparation method) guarantee a passing score on the CAVS Exam.
